Buyer-side coordination

PickupSpec Source Defines the Brief Before Supplier Claims

We are an independent sourcing intermediary for US business buyers. We do not manufacture or sell pickup trucks, act as importer of record, certify vehicles, or operate fleets. The service organizes comparable requirements and evidence requests so buyers can examine candidate responses on the same basis.

Explain Your Procurement Task
Buyer-side roleTranslate intended duty into a sourcing brief.
Comparison basisAlign configuration, ratings, quantity, destination, and Incoterm.
Evidence handoffRequest exact-model documents for independent review.

Public manufacturer specifications help identify fields to ask about; they do not prove our stock, access, authorization, performance, or certification. Candidate identity and evidence are evaluated within the actual inquiry.

How the service operates

Four Records Keep the Sourcing Conversation Buyer-Led

Duty record

We capture route, load, work equipment, occupants, trailer use, climate, surface, operating hours, and expected life-cycle context without inventing a performance target.

Configuration record

The brief identifies cab, bed or body, wheelbase, powertrain, drivetrain, axle and brake assumptions, GVWR/GAWR/GCWR, payload, towing, and required interfaces.

Commercial record

Unit price is separated from customization, tooling, inspection, inland transport, freight, duty, destination services, and other exclusions under one requested Incoterm.

Evidence record

Specification sheets, rating labels, model-year materials, inspection reports, and regulatory references are tracked as requested, received, pending, or requiring qualified review.

This process does not replace engineering validation, legal advice, customs brokerage, certification assessment, inspection, registration, insurance, or a contract with the selected supplier.

Evidence Is Bound to the Quoted Vehicle

Vehicle-family marketing can reveal useful comparison fields, but exact ratings and compliance applicability change with chassis, body, installed equipment, model year, and destination.

Ratings

Request GVWR, GAWR, GCWR, payload, towing, and load assumptions for the quoted chassis and completed body. Maximum ratings from another trim are not substitutes.

Electric configuration

Distinguish nominal from usable battery capacity, identify the connector and AC/DC charge power, state the test-cycle basis, and evaluate the buyer's route and payload separately.

Destination requirements

Ask for documents tied to the exact vehicle category, model, configuration, and model year. Qualified destination-side reviewers determine acceptance; PickupSpec Source does not.

Commercial limitations

Current factory availability, lead time, MOQ, price, warranty, parts support, and document scope are unknown until a candidate issues and confirms its offer.

Bring the duty and the open questions

We will organize the requirement for candidate factory outreach and preserve deviations for buyer review.
